Protosapien is an animation that lived in the streets, and exists as a video. The work is a self-portrait, where I desired to get out of the studio, and share my story of suffering from Crohn's disease with the world. The work is a few hundred hand drawn images 48" x 36" wheat pasted around the city of Portland. Over time, the art decays and falls from view, metaphorically and literally.
